NOTICE TO TAXPAYERS:

Beginning the first week of February, the 2007 & prior delinquent taxes will be advertised in the Pender Times newspaper for 3 consecutive weeks. Monday March 2, 2009 at 9:00 A.M. will be the Public Tax Sale in the lobby of the courthouse.

The first half of Real Estate, Personal Property, and I.O.L.L. taxes become delinquent on May 1, 2009 with interest being charged at 14% on that day per State Statute #77-204. An April 30, 2009 postmark will be honored.

The second half of Real Estate, Personal Property, and I.O.L.L. taxes become delinquent on Sept. 1, 2009 with interest being charged at 14% on that day per State Statute #77-204. An August 31, 2009 postmark will be honored.


Through the assistance of the Nebraska Association of County Officials, one is able to access taxes online in Thurston County

There is a monthly fee for Thurston County to be able to provide this service to the public. To reduce the cost of the County Budget we notified area banks, realtors, abstract and title companies, tax services and mortgage companies for assistance of funding this valuable service.
