The Public Tax Sale will be Monday March 5, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. in the lobby of the courthouse. A copy of the delinquent tax list can be obtained through The Pender Times newspaper, ph. 402-385-3013.
Our office now accepts Debit/Credit cards for a method of payment on services within our office.
Registrations can be renewed online at www.clickdmv.ne.gov
Real Estate and Personal Property taxes can be paid online as well by Credit Card or E-Check. That website is www.nto.us then click on Thurston County and enter the description needed. There is a service fee charged to the customer by the provider to process these transactions.
Notice to Taxpayers:
The first half of Real Estate, Personal Property, and I.O.L.L. taxes become delinquent on May 1, 2012 with interest being charged at 14% on that day per State Statute #77-204. An April 30, 2012 postmark will be honored.
The second half of Real Estate, Personal Property, and I.O.L.L. taxes become delinquent on Sept. 1, 2012. Due to the weekend and holiday observance, interest will be charged on Septemeber 5, 2012 at the rate of 14% per State Statute #77-204. An August 31, 2012 postmark will be honored.
Through the assistance of the Nebraska Association of County Officials, one is able to access taxes online in Thurston County
Payment Drop Box
There is a Thurston County Payment Drop Box located near the alley of the Courthouse. A payment for transactions from all offices in the courthouse may use this Drop Box. NO CASH, PLEASE!!
