2022 Public Tax Sale Information
Notice to Thurston County Taxpayers:
We are now allowing 2 customers inside our office at a time and would strongly suggest to wear a mask.
The 1st. half of 2021 taxes become delinquent May 1, 2022 and
begin drawing interest at 14% annually. A postmark up to April 30,
2022 will be honored.
The 2nd. half of 2021 taxes become delinquent September 1, 2022. A
postmark up to August 31, 2022 will be honored.
*Taxes can be paid online at nto.us
*A drop box is located in the alley of the courthouse for anyone wishing to drop off tax payments. Interest charges begin on May 1, 2022.
The Public Tax Sale will be Monday March 7, 2022 beginning at 9:00 AM at the Courthouse.

Our office now accepts Debit/Credit cards for a method of payment on services within our office.
Registrations can be renewed online at www.clickdmv.ne.gov
Real Estate and Personal Property taxes can be paid online as well by Credit Card or E-Check. That website is Nebraska Taxes Online then click on Thurston County and enter the description needed. There is a service fee charged to the customer by the provider to process these transactions.
Payment Drop Box
There is a Thurston County Payment Drop Box located near the alley of the Courthouse. A payment for transactions from all offices in the courthouse may use this Drop Box. NO CASH, PLEASE!!
